How to deal with curly poofy hair in the summer?

i got my egyptian side of the familys super curly q hair. usually its ok and pretty but now that summer is coming it just gets frizzy and poofy! i used to straighten it too and it would come out really nice, but the humid hot weather is completely ruining it...

im considering getting a japanese straightening thing done.

but until then are there any ways to tame curly poofy hair?

straighten your hair, or get a cute sexy cut

well blow dry it, when you let it air dry it poofs up, so dry it fast and use a round brush and smooth it out. also smoothing milk works wonders, just get like a dime size in your wet hands and work it into your hair, i do it and its amazing.
Reply:hairspray gel and mouse
Reply:You need to weigh it down. That what oils and gels are good for. The longer your hair is, the more resistant it is to frizz. Also, a protein treatment works wonders for me (I use Ion brand from Sally beauty supply. Finally, as soon as you are done showering, leave the bathroom because the combo of steam and heat makes hair frizzy. Try to stay in a cool, dry place until you hair is completely dry and sealed with oil. Any oil will do-they are all the same stuff.
Reply:Buy the anti frizz shampoo and conditioner set. then rub the anti frizz cream. brush......
Reply:when it%26#039;s damp put some frizz serum in it. i suggest john frieda. let it dry naturally and avoid touching it; that only makes it frizzier. avoid using heat like straightening or blowdrying it.
Reply:I have the same problem. What I do is use curling shampoo and conditioner, put in curling mouse and use a curling blow dryer( I know you are thinking%26quot;BLOW DRYER?!?!?!) but it really works. Just blow dry it until it is damp...not dry. And then spray some hair spray on it. It will be a little stiff at first but believe me, small price to pay for NON-poofy hair. :) GOOD LUCK
Reply:No don%26#039;t do the Perm straight.. :-)

Leave the beautiful choices you have !!

Use anything that says Creme. My hair is long and curly and as soon as it gets hot or wet ..it%26#039;s frizzy. I find that using Aussie Creme (like a gel) to style controls it. Also in my purse

Sm bottle of John Frieda Frizz Ease... when I%26#039;m out I can take like a drop and rub my hand together and just scrunch it into my hair or lay my hands over my hair if if I%26#039;ve straightened it.

Last got2Be Instant tolerance- great but be careful it can be sticky if you go crazy :-)

Good luck and I hope you decide to keep your hair natural and just work with it !!!
